Lisa’s passion for baking began in her childhood when she would bake cakes for tea on Sundays. Excelling in arts and crafts at school, she still cherishes the classic Victoria Sponge, a testament to her early baking days. In 1992, after identifying a significant gap in the cake decorating and wedding market, Lisa opened a cake decorating shop offering wedding services. After a decade in retail, she realised her true passion lay in baking and designing cakes. She sold the shop and, with the help of her husband, transformed their home office into a “cake room” and began offering a bespoke wedding cake service. Thus, Lisa’s Exquisite Cakes was born.
